Messiah at Trinity Church NYC
Handel's Messiah
Trinity Choir; Trinity Baroque Orchestra; Melissa Attebury, conductor
Experience the event of the season: New York’s most historic Messiah in its most glorious sacred space.
Don’t miss Trinity Church’s renowned annual presentation of George Frideric Handel’s Messiah, hailed as no less than the “gold standard” by The New York Times. Featuring the peerless Trinity Choir and Trinity Baroque Orchestra, this “transcendent and awe-inspiring” Messiah has captivated audiences since it was first presented in 1770.
Trinity’s unique, historically informed version is performed on period instruments and sung in Baroque style in an acoustically rich space. This year for the first time the oratorio will be split into two parts, with performances around both Christmas and Easter, led by Trinity’s acclaimed Director of Music, Melissa Attebury.
